Hello, my name is Meghan and I am 15 years old. I am a sophomore at a school for the arts and am apart of the dance conservatory. Some of my hobbies are dancing, baking, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with my friends and family. I have been dancing for 13 years and it is a huge part of my life.

In October 2022, I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I herniated a disc in my lower back. Then, in December I was told that I needed a brace and had to wear it for 20 hours a day. It made me feel very self-conscious and I felt very uncomfortable. But eventually I started to get used to it and accepted that it was part of who I am. Slowly, I got to ween out of the brace because I was basically done growing and now I only wear it at night. As a CG Leader I want to create a safe, empowering space where people with scoliosis feel like they can be themselves.
