Hi! My name is Natalie.  I am 11 years old and love gymnastics,  camping,  swimming,  animals and hanging out with my friends.

I was only 4 years old when my doctor first noticed I had a curve in my spine. At first it was kind of scary with all kinds of appointments and x-rays but after awhile it all started to seem normal. I was 6 when the doctor told me I was going to need a Boston brace and to wear it 23 hours a day. It was really hard to get used to at first. That’s when my mom found the Curvy Girls scoliosis group. We didn’t have any groups where we lived so my mom and I went on a road trip for a few hours so I could go to my first meeting. I loved it so much! It was so awesome to talk to other people like me who actually knew what a Boston brace was and understood how I felt! I knew right then I wanted to be a leader someday and be there for others like those girls were there for me.
