My name is Kathryn, I have an older sister and two dogs, Riley and Gus. I love college sports, animals, and the ocean. I started my scoliosis journey in the 6th grade when i was officially diagnosed by my pediatrician. At the time, my curve was approx. 20 degrees so I began night bracing. AS it progressed, I had to switch to day bracing in hopes of stopping the growth of the curve. However, I made the decision to have spinal fusion surgery in February 2024. It was scary at first but I have never felt more comfortable and confident in my life. I wanted to become a leader because I know how tough it is to go through something as life altering as this, no matter what stage you're in, and I want to do everything in my power to make sure young girls going through this feel supported and seen.
